Hi, John. If the military tries to seize mining assets they can do so in 1 country but not all over the world. Let's say that happens in the States, well, miners will move to a different location and continue mining. That's what happened with China 2021. The hash rate goes down temporarily but no big deal.
Let's not forget the network is very decentralized and even in the highly unlikely event that 90% of the mining operation goes down, the other 10 can pick up the slack. In that scenario, I'll be setting up a mining business and making a fortune in the process. Bitcoin is not going to stop.
Your example about “illegal” production is a good one. How is the war on drugs going? Who is winning? Exactly. Bitcoin is not illegal in any country in the world and even in China, despite all the bans, they keep mining. You can mine bitcoin at home with an old computer and no one would even know.
G7 countries will try to make life difficult for Bitcoiners but this is a battle they have already lost. There are 180 countries in the world and 80% are very pro-Bitcoin.
