Mining needs cheap energy. Solar, wind and hydro are the cheapest sources out there thus Bitcoin is indirectly promoting the use of clean energy which will bring the prices even lower.

Bitcoin and clean energy are the perfect symbiosis and both benefit from it.

Besides, money is migrating from traditional banking institutions and from gold. Both have a much bigger carbon footprint than BTC.

Netflix uses a lot of energy but is much better for the enviroment than the previous system (Blockbuster) with all those rental shops, physical DVDs, shipping, etc. For the same reasons BTC is cleaner than the banking or the gold industry.
