The Case For Self-Sufficiency
How to fend for yourself in an unpredictable world
Globalization is great. We can eat exotic foods all year round, buy nice clothes produced far away, use technology developed in places we can’t even pronounce and all that for very little money and a seemingly unlimited supply.
But there is a catch.
It’s not sustainable.
Especially when Shit Hits The Fan.
When you rely on third countries for your basic necessities and crisis hits, you realize the system isn’t as robust and as reliable as you were led to believe.
Food, medicines, technology, oil, clothes, and everything else come from distant places. These countries are also in turmoil and you have to forgive them for having more pressing issues than taking care of you right now.

Well, at least you won’t starve. Although less variety, there is plenty of food produced locally, right?
