You are missing the point here. While it's extremely easy to create another scarce coin (I have created several) no one is going to buy something just because it is scarce.

Bitcoin is successful because it has reached critical mass, it is decentralized and it has the biggest and more reliable network ever created.

Try to compete with that and you'll fail. There is only room for one decentralized financial asset and the rest are late to the party. Metcalfe's law, Lindy effect and so on.
